Grunwald has been treading the path of many musicians, pushing his music into the public eye by self producing and recording his albums for the last six years.
This time he has a big recording studio and a bunch of great songs to work, collaborating with fellow musician Pip Norman.
"For at least one time in your life you have to go all out and make stuff sound the best it can," Grunwald said.
Fish out Of Water is the working title for the album due for release in August.
Other songs on the album include The Devil Called Me a Liar which Grunwald described as a crazy song with a very evil collection of riffs, Fish Out Of Water which is about being stuck in the city and wanting to get out into the expanse and Break Out which is a more dance tune about a guy who lives in a country town and wants to break out of his restrains.
One song written to reflect Ben Harper and The Blind Boys of Alabama's style is Give Something Away at Every Gig.
Fish Out Of Water is a multi-layered album with a lot of different sounds happening in the background which all work together to make for really great music.
"Its sort of gone further than last one (Give Signs) did in terms of the way it's a bit heavier and I layered a lot of vocals.
"On one layer there's break bears, then on another you've got us banging and smashing things, and then there's a lot of riffs and they're really evil rocky dark blues riffs.
"The beats are stronger and it's a bit more refined."
Known for his bluesy junky music, Grunwald is looking forward to getting back on the road to test run a stack of his new songs for the local audiences.
Grunwald hinted he would be releasing further details about the album in the leadup to it's release.
A live album is available now on his website and at his gig on June 6 at Redcliffe on the Murray.
