The Killers cancel Good Vibrations 2010

INDIE rock band The Killers have angered fans by pulling out from their headlining slot at the Good Vibrations Festival set to be held this Sunday in Perth.
The band had to withdraw from the top spot due to illness of a close family member.

Mushroom Group Promotions said The Killers had hoped the Australian leg of their current tour would be completed as planned. However the severity of the illness caused them to announce the cancellation of their Sydney Enmore show as well as their shows at Good Vibrations Festival Sydney and Good Vibrations Festival Perth. “The band apologises to their Australian fans and asks for their understanding,” the promotions company said in a statement.
UK outfit Friendly Fires also cancelled their Good Vibrations performances due to a family emergency. Festival ticket-holders have until 5pm Friday, February 12, to contact organisers for a refund. They are asked to email thekillersjammusic.com.au with their ticket purchase details, ticket ID, email address and full name on the ticket. Good Vibrations will go ahead in Perth on Sunday with the lineup including The Gossip, Basement Jaxx, Salt-n-Pepa, Naughty By Nature, Busta Rhymes and Art vs Science.
