Tom Ugly sets off on their first major tour

Rising young Sydney wunderkinds Tom Ugly (formerly known as [is]), who won last year’s Triple J Unearthed High competition, are set to bust out of Sydney for their first major tour.

Brandishing infectious anthems Cult Romance, Roll Again and current single Bad With Love, Tom Ugly (the boy) will stow away his school books after mid-year exams so that Tom Ugly (the band) can road test tracksfrom their debut EP appropriately named The Tom Ugly EP to be released in August.  Proudly presented by triple j, the Tom Ugly National Tour will roll through ten towns and cities with a revolving cast of stellar local acts including Hungry Kids Of Hungary, Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! and The Dirty Secrets, before finally returning to their hometown in time to celebrate Tom Ugly’s 18th Birthday in fine style at Spectrum on Saturday 25 July.

To keep the independent flag flying, Tom Ugly are also teaming up with the Australian Government’s Contemporary Music Touring Program which aims to give all Australians, wherever they live, better access to some of the country's best live contemporary music.   The Australian Government is proud to be associated with the Tom Ugly National Tour.
Watch out Australia, a badass musical storm is heading your way.
